Using Poetry to Inspire

Poetry plays a very important role in my life. I often times use poetry as a way of reflection. Most of the time when I have gone through an emotional change, I sit down and begin to write. I often times do not have a structure for what I am writing, but the more I write, the clearer my message becomes. I think this example is the perfect fit for the quote made by Robert Frost, “A poem begins in delight and ends with wisdom.” I agree with Frost because I never have any intentions on making my poems work for me. I simply begin with a thought and end up with words that I feel are worth discovering.
